I want to prepare a research proposal in the field of education and training, and submit it to my university committee so as to pursue PhD. But I don’t have any prior knowledge on how to prepare proposals. Neither do I have any specific guideline to follow for writing a persuasive proposal. All I know is that the proposal should be original while highlighting my intention behind doing a PhD level study. Please help me by explaining the key concepts to be included in a research proposal and the way to approach proposal writing.
Well, assuming that you have already selected a topic, you would basically want to include the following essential points in a proposal:
- Why do you want to research on the particular topic? Research problem
- What are you going to investigate? Objectives
- How are you going to achieve your study objectives? Methodology
These 3 points will help you defend your proposal. Apart from this, check if your university has any particular guideline that has to be followed.
Hey, it would be better if you can get your hands on some of the existing proposals of your seniors. You can refer to it for preparing the proposal. I am also sharing a link to this amazing guideline of developing a proposal. You can more or less refer to it after consulting with your professor.
A research proposal is a brief and intelligible outline of your proposed study. It sets out the focal issues or inquiries that you need to address. It focuses on the general idea of your study.
The proposal is the most vital document that you need to submit as a feature of the application procedure. The proposal also helps us match your research interest with an appropriate supervisor.
It is PDF of a sample of the research proposal. Look into it. You will understand the basic concept of research proposal.
