Hello scholars, I found this platform very helpful, and for the first time, I am starting a thread here. So, please help me.
My question is how to compare several groups over time? My study is about the increasing rate of heart attacks in humans. So, how to compare the different group of people in my study?
Why don’t you use Graph Prism Software? It is easy to use, and I also used it when I was writing my research. This will be done in the following manner:
Choose a grouped analysis with suppose 5 replicas per group. Enter your data, then, click on analyse and groped analysis keys. Select the third option; each row represent a different time point, and you will get your results.
With the help of repeated attempts in ANOVA, you can compare. If you wish to do it in SPSS, then, the steps would be:
- Click on the analyse key, then, general linear model, then repeated measures.
- Click add to add the independent variable. Let’s say, if your independent variable is 4, then, Click add and define: Heart attack ratio 1, Heart attack size 1, Heart attack ratio 2, Heart attack size2, Heart attack ratio 3, Heart attack size3, Heart attack ratio 4, Heart attack size4. The next step will be moving them into the subjects variables
- Click the option box
- Tick on the graphic statistics and estimates of effect size in the display. Select the time in the factor and factor interactions and move them into Display means for box and then, you will get the posthoc tests. Tick and Compare the main effects.
- Click continue and OK.
