Category: Dissertation/ThesisR software for Meta-analysis

My query is related to R-software. I want to know the advantages and main reasons why we use R not as a software but as a statistical work. I think using it like any other software would be more beneficial.

Here are some reasons which I found when I was researching a similar topic:
1. It’s free.
2. It’s highly reproducible.
3. It’s fast. The value of R could be painful at first, but from the second run, you only have to execute your code. “Point-and-click” or GUI software becomes time-consuming when you conduct your analysis several times.
4. It’s shareable.
5. It’s good to have a complete workflow by combining with other packages.
