Any resources through which taxonomies on human behavior can be created?

Yes, I know that human behaviour can be classified but I want to know of some systematic classification schemes. Human behavior is now also adapted by AI and neural networks. So, I want to know if there are better ways in which the taxonomies on human behavior can be developed through a systematic approach which can help in reading the human responses better and more effectively. (P.S. it is much better if the suggestion is related to qualitative research.)

Any advice, opinion, suggestions, or references are welcomed. Please help me with your experience in this field and research area.

Thank you.

Hi Harman, I am going to give you a brief explanation on the type of data and how you  can collect it under the qualitative approach. (As for quantitative, if other readers of this discussion need it, these methods are not going to be included in quantitative research). As for the qualitative designs of research, there could be three possible ways in which data on human behaviour can be collected. These methods are; individual data, group data and large data.    For Individual Data, interviews, experiments, observations, and retrospective analysis are the best ways and can help in focused data collection. For Group Data, you may choose to do surveys, delphi, discussions, and census. The small number of group or serious matters can also involve the methods mentioned for the individual data collection. For Large Data, the variables and factors that affect the behaviour also become complex. It has social, political, and economical variants. While working on large data, the approaches can be similar to the group data collection but the environment plays a major role too. Therefore, I would recommend you to go through the past literature and available studies to see which approach suits your research work the best.   Now, coming to the significant points which are needed for human behavior taxonomy development.  The research question should be clearly understood by all. Based on this, the research hypothesis and propositions can be defined. After this, a research plan/design needs to be creed which includes the approach and techniques which will provide you the closest result. You can choose narrative analysis or maybe discourse analysis to describe the taxonomy.

Harman, I will tell you the answer based on the studies I have gone through in the past. Most of the researchers and research documents talk about grounded theory, phenomenology, or ethnography when it comes to study human behaviour, and develop a taxonomy for that. These techniques have worked effectively so far. However I do agree with the points made in the comment above, and I believe that there is no harm in trying new approaches too as long as they serve the purpose. As for the suggestions, it would be great if you study some works by K.D. Strang. Articulating a research design ideology, Developing a goal-driven research strategy, and General analytics limitations with coronavirus healthcare big data are some of his works which might help you with this project. http://www.kennethstrang.com/ On this link, you can find his works. I hope it helps.
