Are there archives containing newspapers from the Mexican Revolution era?

As I'm finalizing a chapter on regional propaganda and public sentiment, I’ve hit a bottleneck. I need to consult the newspapers of the time to get a genuine sense of the daily discourse. I'm particularly interested in both major national publications and smaller regional presses. If anyone has navigated these archives, I’d appreciate guidance on the most accessible and comprehensive repositories.

From my experience researching revolutionary movements, navigating these archives is a crucial but challenging step. I would recommend starting with the Hemeroteca Nacional de México in Mexico City; it’s the central archive and their digital portal, HNDM, has been steadily digitizing key titles. For regional perspectives, don’t overlook state archives in places like Chihuahua or Morelos. I have also found the University of Texas at Austin's Benson Latin American Collection and the Library of Congress to hold invaluable microfilm collections. Always contact archivists ahead of your visit, as many precious holdings are not fully catalogued online. Be prepared for a mix of digital access and necessary on-site research.
