Are there established academic publications that focus on developing and sustaining performance styles?

I am exploring how performance styles evolve and are sustained over time, particularly in artistic or professional contexts. While I find scattered references, I am unsure where this topic is systematically addressed.I am looking for credible academic sources to ground my research.

From my experience engaging with performance and arts research, this topic is usually addressed across several fields rather than in one dedicated journal. I have seen strong discussions in performance studies, theatre research, musicology, and practice-based research publications. I would recommend looking at journals that focus on embodied practice and artistic research, where sustaining a performance style is discussed through pedagogy, repetition, and contextual adaptation. The literature tends to be qualitative and reflective rather than prescriptive.
