Can anyone recommend works on Jewish food culture during twentieth-century wars?

My research intersects food history and trauma studies. I want to understand how war acts as a catalyst for change in culinary tradition and identity. I need both historical accounts and analytical texts to build my bibliography.

Beyond the core anthology I mentioned, I would recommend two analytical approaches. For a macro, socio-historical view, look at Steven Kaplan’s work on food and power. For micro-level, intimate adaptation, seek out Atina Grossmann’s articles on German-Jewish refugees, which brilliantly detail how food memories rebuilt identities. I have also seen compelling analysis in journals like Gastronomica and Jewish Social Studies always search their archives. Start with these to see how scholars frame the rupture and continuity of practice.
