How to resolve missing value issue in finincial data collection for PhD research?

PhD research for financial data collection.

As I was going through the financial data collected for my research, I came across this issue where I found few values missing and also, when calculating the Interest expense, it includes zero values and sometimes a negative values, which is posing issues in calculating coverage ratio. What can be done here?

Here are three things that can be done in a situation like this.

1) Substituting it with a constant value

2) If the data size is small one can replace it with a mean or a median or

3) Replace the value using the information from the other column.
