I represent a small research institute. Are there structured opportunities for institutional collaboration on this project, perhaps through shared funding, personnel, or resource pooling?
Our institute has complementary archival resources and a postdoctoral fellow whose work dovetails with your project's second phase. We are exploring potential for a formal collaboration. What models have you used previously? Are you open to co-supervising a PhD, hosting a seconded researcher, or co-applying for supplemental grants? Understanding your existing partnership model and flexibility would help us draft a targeted proposal.

We have established several successful institutional partnerships and are open to exploring new ones. Our standard model involves a project-specific Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that clarifies contributions (e.g., personnel time, data, funding), governance, and publication rights. We are very open to co-supervising PhD students aligned with our themes and have done so with two other universities. Resource sharing, particularly of unique archival datasets, is a strong incentive for collaboration. We are also planning a cross-institutional workshop for 2025 and would welcome co-sponsorship. The best next step is for you to contact our project manager to schedule a discussion with the PI and co-Is about overlapping interests and to share a draft concept note from your institute.
