From my experience, the main challenges in implementing SDGs include fragmented policies, insufficient funding, limited institutional capacity, and weak stakeholder coordination. I have seen that countries often struggle with integrating goals across sectors, measuring progress accurately, and engaging communities effectively. I would recommend strengthening governance frameworks, mobilizing financial and human resources, and fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships to overcome these barriers. Addressing these challenges ensures that SDG initiatives are actionable, measurable, and impactful, accelerating progress toward sustainable development on both local and global scales.
