What challenges arise when developing MBA curricula in rural university contexts?
MBA programs are expected to align closely with industry needs. Rural universities often operate with different constraints and opportunities. I’m interested in how these contextual factors shape curriculum design and delivery.

From my experience, the biggest challenge is balancing global management competencies with local relevance. I have seen rural MBA programs struggle with limited industry exposure, faculty specialization gaps, and placement opportunities. I would recommend designing curricula that integrate local case studies while maintaining core management foundations. When rural context is treated as an asset rather than a limitation, MBA curricula become more distinctive and socially relevant.
