What is the focus of quantum-geometry dynamics in response to Hilbert’s 6th problem?

Hilbert's sixth problem calls for the axiomatization of physics. Recently, I've encountered research on "quantum-geometry dynamics" that seems to propose a foundational framework merging quantum mechanics and spacetime geometry. What is the core focus of this approach in directly responding to Hilbert's call for mathematical rigor and unification in physical theory?

My reading in this area suggests its focus is a direct, ambitious response to Hilbert. Instead of quantizing gravity, it seeks a single geometric arena often a complex Hilbert space where both quantum events and spacetime dynamics emerge from deeper, more primitive axioms. The core focus is on deriving both quantum mechanics and general relativity as limiting cases from a set of self-consistent postulates. I see it as a top-down approach to unification, prioritizing mathematical rigor from the outset, which is precisely what Hilbert advocated.
