Neuroscience data helps explain why people decide the way they do, not just what they choose. Tools like fMRI and EEG reveal hidden processes—such as reward anticipation, conflict, or impulse control—that don’t always show up in behavior. In some cases, brain signals can even predict a decision before someone acts, giving researchers a deeper, more mechanistic view of decision-making.
