Are there any periodicals specifically for translation studies that come out of Jordan or Algeria?

I'm verifying sources for a publication and a colleague questioned if Jordan or Algeria even have their own specialized journals in our field, versus just regional ones. I need to confirm this and, if they exist, understand their scope and standing.

Yes, they do exist, though they are often embedded within broader linguistics or language journals rather than being exclusively "translation studies." From my experience, you'll find them typically published by major university presses. For verification, I would recommend checking the online portals of universities like the University of Jordan or the University of Algiers 2. Look for publications from their languages or humanities faculties. Their standing is usually national or regional, serving as crucial platforms for local scholars to publish contextually relevant research in Arabic, French, or English.
