Can anyone recommend journal articles on penalties for electoral offences, particularly vote-buying?

This arises from studying electoral integrity. Vote-buying remains widespread in some systems.I want comparative legal analysis.

From my experience, comparative election law journals offer the strongest analysis of vote-buying sanctions. I have seen useful work combining criminal law with political science, examining deterrence and enforcement gaps. I would recommend focusing on Latin American and Southeast Asian case studies, where penalties exist on paper but vary significantly in effectiveness.
