Can LaTeX-style code be used in ResearchGate publications for mathematical expressions?
As a theorist in applied mathematics, my work is equation-heavy. I want to share preliminary findings and questions on ResearchGate discussions, but plain-text equations are unreadable. I know some platforms support basic LaTeX. Does ResearchGate have this functionality built into its publication or question interfaces to maintain notation quality?

Yes, ResearchGate supports LaTeX for mathematical expressions, which is a huge relief for theorists. In my experience, you can use standard inline notation, like \(E = mc^2\), or display style with \[ \int f(x) dx \], directly in questions, project descriptions, and publication summaries. I would recommend always using the preview function before posting, as the rendering can sometimes be platform-sensitive. It’s not a full LaTeX compiler, but for standard equations, it works reliably and is essential for clear communication in our field.
