Foundation course in ethics
I'm developing a syllabus for an introductory engineering ethics module. To give students a framework for analyzing cases, I want to present the core ethical theories. I know of deontology, consequentialism, and virtue ethics, but I'm unsure if that's a complete high-level typology. Where do theories like contractarianism, ethics of care, or pragmatism fit in? Is there a standard way to categorize these theories that highlights their fundamental differences in determining what is morally right?
