How are green, sustainable, and organic products defined and differentiated?

I am researching eco-friendly product classifications and want to understand the differences between green, sustainable, and organic products. Knowing how each is defined helps in labeling, marketing, and regulatory compliance, as well as in academic analysis of consumer behavior and product impact.

Green products reduce environmental harm at specific lifecycle stages. Sustainable products address environmental, social, and economic impacts holistically over the long term. Organic products are defined by strict agricultural certifications that prohibit synthetic chemicals and GMOs. All organic products are environmentally oriented, but sustainability extends beyond environmental concerns alone.
