From my experience teaching globalization, sociologists now see it as uneven and contested rather than a single unified process. I have seen research emphasize how global flows benefit some groups while marginalizing others. I would recommend understanding globalization through lived experiences, migration, labor, and digital connectivity. This approach shows globalization as something people encounter daily, not just an abstract economic force.
