How can I locate a digital copy of Michael Roberts’ original “Military Revolution” article for my research without access to a major university library?

I’m an independent scholar without institutional library access. I need a digital copy of Roberts’ original 1955 article for a publication. I’ve searched Google Scholar and general web searches, but results are either paywalled or link to later versions. Are there any open?access archives, scholarly sharing platforms (like Academia.edu), or library?partner initiatives (like HathiTrust’s limited viewing) where I might legally access this work?

As an independent scholar, start with HathiTrust (hathitrust.org); search for the title and limit to “Full View.” Many older works like this are available there. If not, try the Internet Archive (archive.org). Also, search Google Books thoroughly; the 1955 pamphlet is often scanned and available in “snippet” or preview view, and sometimes fully viewable. As a last resort, consider a document?delivery service like the British Library’s (bl.uk), which can provide a digital copy for a small fee. Roberts’ article is a cornerstone text, so persistent searching in these free digital libraries usually yields a result.
