How do you tune pi controllers for a grid-connected pv inverter?

I'm designing decoupled dq control for a voltage source converter in a grid-tied PV system. How do I actually calculate the PI gains for the current loop and the DC-link voltage loop?

Two different criteria for two different loops. The inner current loop is tuned for speed using the modulus optimum criterion treat it as a first-order system based on the grid filter inductance and switching delays. The outer DC-link voltage loop is tuned for stability using the symmetrical optimum criterion it needs to be slower to avoid interacting with the current loop and to handle the power balance dynamics. Fast current, stable voltage. That's the dance.
