How should one select the sample size for a survey based on a random population while conducting a research study?

There are two major components that are crucial while analyzing the accurate sample size for any research study, margin of error and confidence level. The margin of error tells you about the extent of positive or negative deviation in your survey sample. The confidence level shows the percentage of the population who are inclined towards a particular option within the given margin of error.
