From my experience studying language contact in African contexts, English influence on Ruwund is present but limited. I have seen borrowing mainly in administrative, educational, and technological terms rather than core vocabulary. I would recommend viewing this influence as functional rather than structural. Ruwund retains its grammatical integrity, while English loanwords reflect practical adaptation to modern institutions rather than deep linguistic displacement.
