What is the focus of the Biology of Fungi Congress?

As an early-career mycologist, I'm evaluating which conferences are the best fit for my work on fungal pathogenesis. I see many broad "microbiology" meetings, but I need to know if this congress delves deeply into specialized areas like fungal genetics, ecology, or biotechnology, or if it maintains a more general overview.

Based on my attendance at recent iterations, the Biology of Fungi Congress is uniquely comprehensive. While large microbiology meetings give fungi a session or two, this congress is entirely dedicated to deep fungal systems. The focus spans from fundamental genetics and cell biology to applied ecology, biotechnology, and pathogenesis. I have seen it serve as the central hub where forest ecologists, medical mycologists, and industrial fermentation experts all converge, fostering incredible cross-pollination of ideas you won't find elsewhere.
