Intercoders participation for research methodology

As I am doing my research which includes interviews with scientists and experts. However, I need the intercoders participation to ensure the methodology's reliability. My question is who can I consider the intercoders here? Can the scientists collaborate as intercoders?

A common approach is to educate graduate students to perform this task instead of scientists involved in the research already. It is often done by comparing your coding with that of a research assistant.
