For functional prosthetic sockets, SLS or MJF with PA12 nylon is ideal due to its strength, durability, and light weight. TPU, printed via FDM or SLS, works well for flexible liners and comfort interfaces. Metal AM, such as titanium via LPBF, is typically reserved for high-performance or implant-related components because of higher cost and weight.
