Can anyone help me with the lecture notes on using the finite element method (FEM) in Radiation Heat transfer theory?

I need complete and proper lecture notes that provide me detailed information on finite element formulation to solve the causes of radiation. I got details about the heat transfer methods of convection and conduction but not about radiation.

Any sources sharing the radiation concept will be more than welcomed and appreciated.

Hi Peter, I have added the textbook “finite element analysis” in the pdf format. This book will help you understand the finite element formulation concept with suitable applications and examples.   http://soaneemrana.com/onewebmedia/TEXT%20BOOKOF%20FINITE%20ELEMENT%20ANALYSIS%20BY%20P.%20SESHU%20(1).pdf   All the best

Instead of checking with books or lecturer notes, you can go with reference papers and relevant articles, which will help you understand the topic better. Please find the reference papers below.   https://www.researchgate.net/publication/292688765_Finite_element_solution_of_radiative_heat_transfer_in_a_rectangular_enclosure_with_participating_media   https://www.osti.gov/pages/servlets/purl/1238655   You can download the pdf files from the link mentioned above.

Hello Peter, kindly check the link below. There is nothing much content in the book. You can find the introduction part of the finite element simulation of heat transfer. It will provide you with the basic ideas of the concept you are looking for.   https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/9780470611418.fmatter   Best of Luck

It is not easy to get an online book for free, but you can buy books online through Amazon or different platforms. If you can't find the right source, it is better to go with reference papers available online for free. I have added the book link below for your reference about the: "Finite element method for 1D transient convective heat transfer problems".   https://www.diva-portal.org/smash/get/diva2:1223250/FULLTEXT01.pdf   I hope that this will help you and give you an idea of what you are searching for. All the best
