Difference between multivariate and bivariate analysis


Hello, the background of my research is child labour. I have collected my data by conducting survey with open ended questions. Now i have to work on my data analysis.
I googled the methods of data analysis appropriate for my research background and i found that there are two ways through which i can analyse my data collected one is multivariate and another one is bivariate analysis but, the problem is that i have no idea which one of them would be most suited for research. Also, i don’t have much knowledge about each one of them.
So my main concern for writing this query is to gather information about both of these data analysis methods.

Bivariate and multivariate analysis are statistical strategies to explore connections between data samples. Bivariate investigation is used when there are two paired data sets, studying the relationship between them. Multivariate examination is used when two or more variables are analyzed. The objective in the last case is to figure out which factors impact or cause the result.

The basic difference between them is that bivariate analysis is used when we have to find a relationship between two different variables whereas, multivariate analysis is used for the study of three or more variables. In bivariate method, one plot is against another one variable on a Cartesian plane. On the other hand, there are numerous ways to perform multivariate analysis depending on the objective.
