English grammar rules to be followed while writing the thesis


Which are the must English grammar rules that I should follow while writing the thesis? Am not well versed the rules.

1.Do not use an apostrophe after a possessive pronoun( like mine, his hers etc) 2.Place a modifier next to the word it is supposed to modify 3.Link ideas with conjunction 4.Use active voice rather than passive voice 5.Use semicolon only to join two ideas

Amrit, wherever possible add an “-ed” to regular verbs to make the second form. Irregular verbs are tricky. Be very careful while dealing with it. Use present tense and present perfect tense for unfinished past.
