Go with SPSS. SPSS is mostly popular statistics software package. SPSS offers the ability to compile descriptive statistics, non-parametric and parametric analyses and graphical depictions of results. This tool also includes the option to create scripts to automate analysis.

Deepa, SPSS is definitely most popular tool. But is mostly used for data analysis in the field of social science. I would suggest MATLAB. Nothing can beat MATLAB. MatLab is widely used software. I personally recommend Minitab software. This software offers a range of basic as well as advanced statistical tools for data analysis. Here the commands can be executed through either GUI or through the scripted commands, thereby making it accessible to newbies as well as users wanting to carry out complex analyses.
