From my experience engaging with Indian publishing, children’s literature in regional languages is vibrant but unevenly supported. I have seen strong storytelling traditions sustained through state presses, educational boards, and small publishers, though distribution remains limited. I would recommend viewing the field as culturally robust but institutionally fragile. Translation initiatives and digital platforms are slowly improving visibility, yet much innovation still happens outside global literary circuits.
