Hi Mohit, All the best for your research! Due to its easy operational characteristic features, the Likert scale is becoming popular, especially in survey research. I prefer you to use the 5-point Likert scale because it is much simpler to understand and develop. Best Regards, Tina

Hello Mohit, I didn't find any rating scale that provides 100 % accurate results because every scale has pros and cons. However, as you mentioned that you are planning to use the Likert scale for analyzing employee issues. In that case, it is better to go with a Likert scale of 1-5.

Hey Mohit, When it comes to employee concerns, the problems should be understandable, and it is requisite to concentrate on the current situation. In my opinion, you can use the Likert scale in conjunction with open-ended questions and answers. I feel that compared to the 5-point Likert scale, you can pick a 7-point Likert scale. Good luck

Thank you so much for all your responses. Shall I use 1-4 scales for my survey?

You can use the 1-4 Likert scale, but you will not get a neutral response. Instead, it is better to go with a 1-5 Likert scale or 1-7 Likert scale. All the best for your future endeavors.
