Can we expect any changes in the HRM practices post-pandemic?

Hi everyone, I am working on a questionnaire development and that is why I am curious about one thing.

My research is about the changes brought in Human Resource Management by the Covid-19 pandemic. After a lot of studies I noticed a huge difference between the HRM practice before and during the pandemic.

However, I am curious about whether there will be any changes in the pos-pandemic period as well or not. Do you think that the professionals will stick to the traditional methods or come up with new and creative ideas?

Please share your opinions. Thank you.

Hello, Judeth. First of all I would say that it is really a great topic and all the best for your questionnaire development.   As for the opinion, I truly believe that pandemic has highlighted the use and benefit of many digital processes and Green HRM is one of them. The new techniques and practices for HRM can be expected for sure as per my opinion. I would suggest you keep this questionnaire either close ended or mixed method to draw a better conclusion.

Thank you so much, Isaac. I am also planning to develop questions with the mixed method approach.

Hi, I agree with what Mr. Isaac said above as it would be an understatement and waste of resources to go back to the things as they were. As much as the pandemic harmed the businesses, it has also provided new and efficient ways of working in many industries. The virtual enhancements have provided better utility and at times, better employee satisfaction rates as well.   However, I think that there will be a mixture of old and new ways which will be adapted in HRM practices post pandemic. As this pandemic has shown a new normal for work life as well.

Hi Md Shabir, thank you so much for your opinion. I feel like you have a point and it does make sense to utilize both the traditional and newly acquired knowledge to help in the best possible way.
