I’m glad you decided to do your PhD in this field. WiMAX is an very interesting field. This field has a good scope and thus you can build your career in the same. The WiMAX network architecture was developed by the WiMAX form. The WiMAX network architecture is based upon an all-IP model. The network architecture comprises three major elements: Mobile stations: These equipments may be fixed and may be located around the user. Access Service Network, ASN: This area of the WiMAX network that forms the radio access network at the edge and comprises one or more base stations and ASN gateways. Connectivity Service Network, CSN: This part provides the IP connectivity and all the IP core network functions.

No Anjan. I’m conducting research in social science. I want to conduct data analysis to determine the results of my study. I have never conducted data analysis earlier. That is why I want to gather basic information regarding the data analysis.

Oh ok. The basic difference between the two are: Data mining discovers a hidden pattern in large datasets. Whereas data analysis gives tests hypothesis from a dataset. Data mining is one of the activity of data analysis. Data analysis is a set of activities that takes care of the collection, and modeling of data for extracting knowledge. Data Mining studies structured data. Data Analysis can be used on both structured, and unstructured data. Data Mining doesn’t need any hypothesis to identify the pattern of the data. On the other hand, data analysis tests a given hypothesis. Data mining doesn’t involve visualization tool, where as data analysis is always accompanied by visualization of results.
