Line chart vs pie chart to visualise big data pattern

Can I use pie chart or line chart to visualise data pattern in big data field? Or is it mandatory to use symbol maps or connectivity charts?

Although it is not mandatory to use symbol maps or connectivity charts to visualise data pattern in big data, it is advisable to use these techniques as they are capable of representing huge data accurately.

You can definitely use a line or pie chart. Line charts let you identify the behavior of one or more variables. Whereas the pie chart will let you present all the components of the population.

It is better to go with non-traditional approaches such as line chart, pie charts, etc. to represent the data pattern. In symbol maps the size of the symbol varies accordingly. Whereas the connectivity charts presents the link between the events or phenomenon.
