GNS3 is a graphical network simulator focused mostly on supporting Cisco and Juniper software. It can be used for simulating a network composed exclusively of VirtualBox and/or Qemu virtual machines running open-source software. GNS3 provides a variety of prepared open-source virtual appliances, and users can create their own.

For VirtualBox based system processes, GNS3 will be a better option. GNS3 can also be used if you are aiming at creating any MANET network or similar networking areas with respect to routing protocols and related concepts.
