How to apply orthogonal polynomials on image compression application?

You can the Moments method of image compression for orthogonal polynomials. The Moments method is used to estimate the parameters of certain populations. You have to start by deriving equations concerned with the population moments to the parameter that is of concern to you. After that you will have to draw a particular sample and the population moments are estimated from that purported sample.
