Prajwal you are right. But after collecting the data it is necessary to clean them. This method is called data scrubbing or data cleansing. In this process incorrect data is removed. Some of the data you have gathered may be incomplete or duplicated. Through this you can eliminate all such unnecessary data.

Can someone explain ‘setting measurement priorities’ stage?

By Radhey Shyam Answered 5 years ago

Vipin, this stage can be broken into (1) what to measure (2) how to measure. In (1) you will have to determine what type of data you need to answer your research questions. Once the data surrounding the main question has been obtained, you have to ask few secondary questions. In the next step, all the data and the secondary questions are converted into useful information. (2) Your research should dictate the methodologies you use to measure the variables. Data is used to create new hypotheses that are based on the results of the data you have collected.
