From my experience engaging with sociological research, current gender debates focus strongly on intersectionality, power, and institutional inequality. I have seen increasing attention to how gender interacts with race, class, sexuality, and globalization. I would recommend viewing today’s sociology of gender as less about fixed roles and more about dynamic processes shaped by policy, culture, and resistance. These shifts reflect broader social transformations rather than isolated gender concerns.
