From my experience conducting EU-based research, European microdata access is well developed but tightly regulated. I have seen researchers use Eurostat, ESS, and secure data labs to analyze employment, health, and mobility trends. I would recommend planning early, as approvals and training are often required. These datasets offer exceptional analytical depth, but responsible use and compliance are taken very seriously.
