From my experience navigating academic platforms, I’ve seen that many inaccuracies stem from automated data aggregation rather than deliberate error. Systems often pull information from outdated or third-party sources and then infer affiliations or contact details algorithmically. I would recommend treating these profiles as provisional representations rather than authoritative records. Without active user verification and transparent correction mechanisms, misattributions are almost inevitable, especially in increasingly complex and globalized academic ecosystems.
