Attendance

I am doing Phd from Rai University Ahmedabad, and my supervisor in this university always emphasizes on the attendance but in my opinion, learning from classes is more important than attending classes. What you guys have to say about it. Your university also forces you to attend classes? Is it even of any use to attend classes?

I agree, with your opinion and think the same as learning from classes is more important than attending them, but professors I don’t know why always focus on no. of classes. Maybe because of the university guidelines so, I think you should follow what your supervisor is saying.

You should strictly stick to what your supervisor is saying. If he is asking you to attend classes, then do as he says. As it is for your betterment only.
