SPSS is the best tool for quantitative data analysis. SPSS has 1) Statistics program SPSS provides basic statistical functions including cross tabulation, frequencies, and bivariate statistics. 2) Modeler program This enables you to build and validate models using latest statistical procedures. 3) Text analytics (for surveys program) This lets survey administrators to uncover insights between responses to open- ended survey questions.

SPSS is a good tool. But I would suggest you to use SAS as it has an added advantage. 1)Ability to handle huge database SAS has ability to handle huge database very easily. 2) Easy to debug SAS is a comprehensible language and debugging process is made easy. 3) Tested algorithms SAS has a tested and controlled environment. Hence you won’t face any problem while conducting the data analysis.

Madhu, if you aren’t aware of data analysis process and the tools used for the same, take help from the statisticians. I know a few of them. http://geoffandfrancis.co.uk/
