How can Keysight ADS be used to optimize microstrip antenna parameters?

I am designing microstrip antennas and want to optimize parameters like patch dimensions, feed location, and substrate properties.
I know ADS has optimization tools, but I need guidance on how to systematically apply them for antenna performance goals like return loss, bandwidth, and gain.

From my experience, Keysight ADS provides both parameter sweeps and optimization algorithms that are highly effective for microstrip antenna design. I have seen designers define key parameters such as patch width, length, feed position, and substrate thickness, then set performance goals like S11 < –10 dB and desired bandwidth. I would recommend using the built-in optimizers, such as gradient-based or genetic algorithms, combined with electromagnetic simulation within ADS. In practice, this allows rapid convergence to a design that meets impedance, bandwidth, and gain requirements, reducing trial-and-error prototyping.
