How to choose a supervisor?
I started my PhD in March and was assigned a supervisor but i was not at all happy with him because he never helped me. No matter how much effort I used to put, I always got a poor feedback. According to my university guideline, i could change my supervisor once so i asked my university to assign me a new supervisor so now they have given me four choices. My question is how do I choose? I really don’t want someone like the previous one. Any suggestions?

Supervisor with whom you had some interactions at undergraduate or postgraduate level may be any of your lecturer, dissertation advisor, or Masters supervisor.
People from your university/department you really have a broad idea about your research area.
