How to use the Industry 4.0’s latest technologies for enterprise management support?
3 years ago in Big Data , Cloud computing , Information Technology By Kaylie
Hey everyone,
This is a technical question and I need the opinions from experts here who are aware of the latest technology of Industry 4.0.
I know that cloud computing, big data database engineering, internet of things, machine learning, business intelligence, AI and some other advanced techniques are included in this revolutionary update. However, I am not sure which one of these advanced and better technologies are suitable for enterprise management.
If you have links to share, then it’s more than welcomed. If not, then I will also appreciate the experienced opinions and reasoned answers.
Looking forward to this discussion.

Hi Kaylie, I guess IoT plays the major role. You can check the resources and advances made in the “Business Process Management” to get some idea and how the technologies are integrated in it to figure out relative technologies which can fit the processes of Enterprise Management Support. IoT provides reliance and logistic support for data that has to be used in the technological devices and under these technologies comes the big data or AI processes. As for the Industry 4.0 technology enablers, it becomes more important to take care of these aspects. Moreover, with the IoT processes and data can provide automation solutions. Other than the data and automation, IoT also works well with human resources and other business processes to provide realistic solutions. I hope this helps you.

This is indeed true. The technologies introduced by Industry 4.0 provide logistics which can be used to significantly improve the management process. Moreover, through these processes an integrated enterprise management can be achieved. The processes can be produced, and procured in a way to enhance the company’s relations with the significant parties involved with it in doing business. I liked your detailed responses. Regards, Amar.

Hi Kaylie, as for the answer to your question, I believe that companies constantly work on their IT systems. The process of managing these systems requires almost all the technologies introduced by Industry 4.0. It is not just IoT that is an important technology, but others like Big data dataset processing, cloud computing, data sciences, smart technologies, and machine learning (as a part of artificial intelligence) are also important for supporting enterprise processing. Hopefully this has given you a stronger opinion about the I 4.0 technologies. Best Regards, Amar.

In my opinion, your question is good but has been directed in the wrong direction. Instead of asking which suits the enterprise management process, you should ask about the core technologies and support these technologies can provide, and should compare it yourself to see which one goes best against the type of industry you are taking into consideration. Compare the principles, core technologies, and computing domains of these technologies. With this you will be able to get the answer to your question. Domains and the technologies differ on the basis of interest and the computing knowledge space which can be great determinants in the overall selection of the technologies and their use for the enterprise management support. Once you have categorized the features and technologies, you can combine them together for the management. Include the suitable trends of IoT, Cloud Computation, Big Data Datasets, AI, and so on to fit your needs. If all this seems hard, then you can always go for some tutorial videos or go through individual articles to have detailed information about these technologies.

Hey, I understand what others mentioned before but Mairah does have a point. Selection of suitable technologies should be based on the qualities of technologies and the enterprise’s requirements. The scale of work is also a major factor. The workload scaling can become an issue when it comes to AI and other technologies including IoT. Therefore, to improve the performance and management, these things should be cleared till the start. Good luck!
