A thesis statement clearly defines what the research is about, it guides the reader through the expression of ideas in order to help make sense of what the researcher wants to convey. The more precise the thesis statement is, the more likely the writing that supports it will be clear and organized. 1.Decide on your topic. 2.Narrow your topic. 3.Put your topic in a sentence. 4.Add your argument, viewpoint, or opinion to your topic to make your thesis persuasive. 5.Elaborate your thesis so that the statement addresses all parts of your thesis.

Writing a good thesis statement is not easy. While writing a thesis statement: Be specific, arguable, create an outline of the paper and more importantly provide clear, specific support for the thesis statement.

Hi. Last week finally I have completed writing my thesis statement. Below I have included the steps I followed while writing the thesis statement. 1. First of all, determine what kind of paper you are writing: Analytical /expository or argumentative paper 2. Your thesis statement should be specific. It should cover only what you will discuss in your paper and should be supported with specific evidence. 3. Your topic may change as you write, so you need to revise your thesis statement to reflect exactly what you have discussed in the paper. Tip: The thesis statement usually appears at the end of the first paragraph of a paper.
