Impact factor journal

My mentor is not at all confident about my thesis and wants me to publish it in any journal of low level because he thinks they would easily publish my thesis without any hassle. But I know in and out of my thesis and have full confidence in it so i want it to publish in a good journal having a good impact factor. I believe my thesis is very well written and deserves to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal. What should I do? I want to publish in a good journal, but his permission is necessary. Can someone tell me what should be done now?

As I would like to think, you should tune in to what your mentor is saying. He is much experienced and senior from you in this field and he knows this area thoroughly. Work according to his recommendation, and this is starting only, later in your academic career, your research paper will get published in reputed journals.

If you are confident about your research work then why don’t you put some strong points in front of your mentor, so that he also understands that your research is not lacking behind in any field. Make all efforts to convince him that your research paper is strong enough to be published in a good journal. Go with some preparation and keep your best foot in front. I hope he understands your problem.
