Is it necessary to revise the thesis?

I have completed writing my thesis. I want to submit my thesis but my friend asked me not to do so without revision. But i am very tired to go through it again. Can I submit thesis to my guide without revision or editing?

No, never submit your thesis without revising it. If there are any errors, your thesis will be rejected in no time. Remember you will never get second chance to make the first impression. When we revise our thesis, we get an opportunity to think about the goals of the paper and whether the goals have been accomplished. By revising our thesis we can ensure that our ideas are clearly expressed and well supported. Also we get an opportunity to eliminate all kind of grammatical, punctuation and linguistic errors.

OK. So what I should I look for while revising the thesis?

Revising for Substance Is your thesis clearly and firmly stated? Does your work reflect the sources that you referred? Did you include specific evidence to support your ideas? Is this evidence analyzed and explained? Revising for Structure Is there a logical pattern by which you can prove your thesis? Does the introduction give a clear indication of what the study is about? Are the paragraphs well developed? Does the paragraph consist a strong and clear topic sentence? Revising for Style The language used is precise & concise? Did you eliminate the repetitive language/ syntax? Is all of the information properly footnoted? Proofreading Check for spelling errors, typographical errors, correct word usage Underline titles of books and include titles of articles in quotation marks Correct documentation and bibliography Use page numbers (do not use a page number on the title page).
