Is V-REP (now CoppeliaSim) suitable for simulating differential drive robots?

How well does CoppeliaSim handle simulating the kinematics and dynamics of a differential drive robot? Can it realistically model things like wheel slip, turning, and motion behavior?

Yes, V-REP/CoppeliaSim is excellent for this. You can model the robot, program its control logic in Lua, Python, or C++, and simulate its dynamics and sensors in a customizable environment.
